As a senior business intelligence developer / senior data analyst, you will be responsible for the translating the reporting requirements from business & clients into actual reports by constructing reports using Power Bi. You will develop and deploy dashboards, visualizations and autonomous and dynamic reporting interfaces. You will be responsible for interacting with internal stakeholders & clients to improve their day-to-day operations by building the reports needed to make appropriate decisions. You will understand the current PremFina reporting infrastructure and the technologies behind it. You will be passionate and committed to ensuring appropriate data is mined from a variety of sources (different databases, microservices, events & streams, API) and presented in a seamless, business format dashboard, charts, reports or tabular formats. You will continuously optimise the ways reports are produced and incorporated within the reporting suite of the platform. Previous experience working in a fast-moving finance & insurance environment is ideal.

Your contribution to something big

  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the Reporting infrastructure technically and functionally.
  • Regularly organise and execute agile reporting / data analysis projects to enhance different areas of the business, product & platform
  • Assess client data / reporting requirements for the product and make key and transparent decisions on how such reporting changes should be implemented.
  • Involvement in all stages of the reporting delivery cycle: from research to development, working closely with the support teams, business consultants, developers and key stakeholders including other departments (Credit, Finance, Sales, Customer Services)
  • Provide guidance, coaching and support to other members of the team to help spread the knowledge.

Our ideal teammate has experience with/knowledge in

  • SQL and Power BI (must have)
  • Data analysis and mining and report building skills
  • Databases (Scylla DB / Cassandra, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)
  • Other Technical including programming skills - Python ideal
  • Experience of data lake, event hubs & streams, data bricks
  • Azure Cloud Architecture
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English
  • An understanding of APIs and REST based Web Services, Jira, Confluence
  • Data mining and data science experiences
  • Experience working with Accountants and finance professionals. E.g., building accounting reports in Power BI.
  • Likely to have 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Basic knowledge of finance/insurance industry (especially lending/financing)

  • An understanding of premium finance is an advantage
