PremFina is expanding its business into Continental Europe, starting operations in Spain and Poland, followed up by Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, and The Netherlands.

Responsibilities:

• Analysing counterparty credit risks by analysing financial health, on a diverse portfolio or SME’s and mid-market corporates based in Spain
• Analysing creditworthiness of insurers and brokers to ensure the loan portfolio is adequately collateralised
• Preparing recommendations and making credit decisions within delegated authority
• Working closely with the Sales Team to identify commercially acceptable solutions whilst ensuring Credit Risk requirements are met
• Monitoring and managing arrears and defaults
• Identifying and managing potential problem loans
• Negotiating and agreeing workout solutions for problem loans with a view to minimise bad debt
• Building relationships with PremFina’s network of broker partners
• Ensuring adherence to AML/KYC policies.

Required skills and experience:

• Degree level education in relevant subject (Accounting, Finance, Business or similar)
• 5+ year’s underwriting experience in commercial lending in bank or financial institution
• Excellent knowledge of Financial Statements (Balance Sheet, P&L Statement, Cash Flow)
• Experience across a variety of industries and sound knowledge of Spanish markets
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English; other EU language is a bonus.
